1 Inventory Analyst - Purchasing Coordinator Summary: Act as inventory analyst and purchasing coordinator to provide information and assistance when necessary regarding inventory concerns and potential impacts to the customer and production schedule. Coordinate inventory requirements and communicate any changes with scheduling and materials, production, outside processors and trucking companies. Work closely with Maintenance, Materials, Quality, Tooling, Production and Project Management.to ensure adequate inventory levels for production jobs and repair and maintenance needs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Inventory Analyze customers short and medium range requirements with scheduling and materials to ensure timely response to customer's needs. Communicate inventory needs/priorities/depletion to all levels of the organization by highlighting potential shortages/problems in the morning meeting, as well as, through making individuals within the organization aware as needed. Coordinate and follow-up with suppliers on out-of-plant processing, such as plating, heat treating, to ensure coordinate management of inventories of OSP. Participate on Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) teams as needed. Identifies or handles inventory discrepancies, performs cycle counts and ensures proper location of inventory Purchasing Performs review and approval of purchase requisitions Source orders and obtain quotes from pre-selected vendors as needed Maintain "open" orders report to ensure orders are received in a timely manner Review, approve, and generate purchase requests for vendor-managed inventory items Maintain tool crib and office supply stock levels Maintain weekly summary sheet to track savings Other duties as assigned Abilities (i.e. Language Skills, Reasoning Ability, Computer Skills) Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills. Must have a professional demeanor. Must have general knowledge of Plex and Microsoft Office tools. Must be able to function with a minimum of supervision. Must have an understanding of operating procedures in a manufacturing environment. Competencies Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to implement win-win solutions Excellent written and oral communication skills, group presentation skills, communication skills and computer proficiency (including Excel and Word). A self-starter with the ability to work independently as needed. Ability to work in ERP / Purchasing system Ability to work with vendors and Shiloh Industries management Strong organizational skills and ability multi-task Physical Demands Ability to function in a high-pressure environment and to meet stringent deadlines for completing tasks. Ability to lift and carry approximately 20lbs (occasional 50lbs).
