Our client, a chemical and consumer goods manufacturer, is seeking an associate Scientist to join their team. As an Associate Scientist, you will be part of the Research and Development Department supporting various development teams. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a background in chemistry or any related science, aligning successfully with our innovative organization.

Job Title: Associate Scientist

Location: Trumbull, CT

Pay Range: $25 per hour

What’s the Job?

• Develop experimental designs and plans to create prototype products meeting specified performance metrics.

• Collaborate closely with packaging, process development, and manufacturing teams throughout development and commercialization phases.

• Contribute to problem-solving efforts by developing or modifying test procedures.

• Conduct a variety of chemical, physical, and application tests to evaluate competitive product composition and performance.

• Assist in lab demonstrations for training programs and customer visits.

• Manage inventory of raw materials and supplies, ensuring workspace organization and safety standards adherence.

• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations.

What’s Needed?

• Four-year college degree in Chemistry or related field OR associate degree paired with substantial industrial experience.

• Valuable expertise in detergents chemistry is advantageous, coupled with proficiency in executing standard methods crucial to product development.
