Robert Half is currently working with a client looking to fill a Purchasing Agent contract position in St. Paris Ohio. Duties include supporting the purchasing department- excellent interpersonal and analytical skills are required. This position would be perfect for you if you are looking to start your career within procurement.

What you get to do every day

• Track inventory levels and decide on purchase needs

• Assess and compare suppliers, goods, and services

• Look into supplier profiles and examine offers

• Prepare and organize purchase orders

• Prepare and present detailed reports (revenues, buying expenditures, etc.)

• Support maintenance of records of all transactions, purchase orders, receipts, and payments

• Oversee relationships with key suppliers to maintain compliance to terms of contracts, quality of goods, and timely delivery

• Request cost proposals and negotiate contracts and prices

  Requirements

-High school diploma or GED required

-Strong written, communication and organizational skills
