Eaton Corporation Director, Talent Management and Organization Effectiveness, Electrical Sector in Southfield, Michigan

Eaton is seeking a Director, Talent Management and Organization Effectiveness (TMOE) – Electrical Sector (ES). This role is hybrid work model and can be based at the following Eaton locations: Beachwood OH, Moon Township PA, Raleigh NC, Waukesha WI, Southfield MI or Houston TX. Relocation assistance is offered for this position.

Position Overview:

The Director, TMOE reports directly to the SVP, Human Resources Electrical Sector. As an experienced practitioner and subject matter expert, the Director will lead organizational design, organization & team effectiveness, talent and change management in the Electrical business. You will design, implement, and drive all aspects of the global ES talent management strategy, including (but not limited to) talent identification and development, succession planning, and broad capability building aligned with business plans and lead initiatives related to culture and employee engagement & inclusion. You will collaborate with HR & business teams at varying levels across ES & Eaton.

Essential responsibilities include:

• Provide Functional Leadership

o Design & lead talent strategy to attract, develop, engage, and retain talent.

o Partner with senior business and HR leadership to align and deploy plans to build organizational capability.

o Collaborate to co-design Eaton processes that deliver solutions needed to optimize talent management and enhance organizational effectiveness.

• Drive Talent Management

o Lead succession management practices including talent reviews and Eaton’s annual Organization Capability Assessment (OCA) processes to strengthen the talent pipeline. Assist leaders with the creation of action plans and monitor actions to drive progress.

o Accelerate successful leader transitions through preparation, communication, development tools / resources and coaching for successful leader transitions.

o Define and/or deploy solutions to address leader development needs to support Eaton’s vision, aspirational goals, leadership attributes and brand promise.

o Conduct organizational assessments and diagnostics for leader, team, and organization development needs. Identify root causes and implement appropriate solutions to improve effectiveness and engagement.

o Champion practices to improve individual and organizational performance, serving as the subject matter expert on performance and development goal setting, talent assessment, coaching and feedback.

o Drive engagement, diversity and inclusion strategy that is designed to foster integration of an I&D mindset into management practices and behaviors across the business.

o Deliver solutions that focus on the development and capability of the HR function.

• Focus on Culture

o Lead and coordinate initiatives aligned with employee listening (onboarding, census, pulse and exit surveys) and establish measures and accountability for ongoing improvements based on feedback.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required.

• Proven success developing and designing Organizational Design and talent strategies that drive business results and performance.

• Minimum fifteen (15) years in Organizational Development and/or Human Resources with direct experience in talent management.

• Experience in large multi-national organizations with complex matrix structures.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship both now and in the future.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree

• Individual and/or team coaching certifications

​The expected annual salary range for this role is $172500.03 - $253000.04 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.
