Description

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity in the financial services industry in Syracuse, New York. The role is based on-site and requires the execution of controller duties. The successful candidate will be involved in day-to-day accounting and finance transactions, forecasting, budgeting, and transactional accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all accounting and finance transactions at the bank

• Develop and manage financial forecasts and budgets

• Ensure accurate and timely transactional accounting

• Utilize accounting software systems for efficient financial management

• Oversee the Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes

• Conduct audits as required to ensure financial compliance

• Utilize Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions to streamline accounting functions

• Manage DCAA interactions and ensure compliance with regulations

• Utilize ADP - Financial Services to streamline payroll and other HR functions

• Develop and manage budget processes.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is required

• Familiarity with DCAA regulations and guidelines

• Proficiency with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems

• Experience with ERP Solutions is a must

• Strong understanding of Accounting Functions

• Proven experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Previous experience in Auditing is required

• Knowledge of Budget Processes is essential

• A degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field is preferred

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

• Proven track record in meeting deadlines and working under pressure

• High level of ethical standards and professionalism

• Willingness to keep up with industry trends and developments.
