First Health of the Carolinas Clinic Manager in Sanford, North Carolina

Will be responsible for overseeing daily operations in our Sanford and Cary Clinics, Manages operating and capital budgets indenting over expenditures and effectively correct in a timely fashion. Ensures accreditation standards, licensing and regulatory requirements for JCAHO, CLIA, OSHA, Radiation Protection, HIPAA, OGI and others as required by Federal or State statues and as applicable to that specific clinic site. Develops, recommends, implements policies and procedures for the clinic in conjunction with all FH FCC, supervised, assisted and monitored by clinic administration. Hires, trains, counsels, coaches and supervises staff with assistance from FH Human Resource department and FHC associated guidelines and policies. Resolves patient complaints/concerns and reports appropriately to clinic administrations and FH MRH risk management; identifies those areas where processes could be changed to assist in preventing on-going complaints of this nature, corrects and monitors. Implements, monitors, and improves effective reimbursement procedures, including CPT and ICD-9 coding, in compliance with established third party billing regulations, federal, state, commercial. Supports all administrative efforts regarding FH FCC Compliance Plan, its implementation and on going maintenance. Maintenance is defined as staff education, audits, pre and post testing were applicable. Manages patient’s billing accounts, working denials, correcting and re-filling as needed monitoring errors and applying corrections through education of staff etc. where needed. Manages financial planning and collections thru workable financial plans that adhere to FH finance policies while using people skills to promote patient understanding. Drops outstanding balances greater than 120 days to FHC Collections agencies once all appropriate efforts and documentation have been completed to prompt collection compliance. Monitors all operational processes throughout the clinic, identifying negative trends, patterns, patient quality care issues and implementing appropriate correction, documentation and follow-up monitoring. Monitors assist with and coordinate the correct accurate collection of co-pays and any over-the-counter payments, end of day balancing and deposits functions meeting compliance standards. Prefer BS Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration, Applied Science or equivalent. Minimum of three years experience in physician practice including supervisory responsibilities required.Financial/analytical skills. Excellent verbal and written skills. Excellent customer service skills. Extensive knowledge of insurance rules, including but not limited to reimbursement, third party payers, pre-certification, ICD-9 and CPT coding. Maintain strict confidentiality of medical, financial, and staff related information. Able to perform several tasks at once in an organized manner. Extensive knowledge of various medical software systems required. Strong organizational and people skills.
