Description

We are offering a role in the legal sector, specifically for a Paralegal, located in San Francisco, California. This role is crucial in a fast-paced environment where you will be dealing with landlord-tenant disputes and general civil litigation, among other responsibilities. You will need to understand court systems, have a proactive attitude, and be able to manage cases efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Handle landlord-tenant disputes and unlawful detainer cases effectively, ensuring all legal procedures are adhered to.

• Utilize case management software to track, manage, and update case progress.

• Conduct legal research using tools such as LexisNexis to support case development.

• Draft and prepare legal briefings, ensuring all arguments are well-supported and clear.

• Manage calendars, ensuring all court dates, deadlines, and meetings are accurately recorded and attended.

• Administer claims and handle complaints, ensuring all issues are addressed promptly and effectively.

• Contribute to a fast-paced environment, adapting to rapid changes in cases and workload.

• Maintain professionalism and polish in all interactions, representing the legal team positively.

• Demonstrate a proactive attitude in seeking solutions and resolving issues.

Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Paralegal role or similar position

• Proficiency in Case Management Software is essential

• Familiarity with LexisNexis software is required

• Experience with Management Systems is necessary

• Ability to conduct Briefing tasks effectively

• Proficiency in Calendar Management

• Experience in Claim Administration

• Skilled in Complaint Handling

• Experience in Landlord-Tenant matters is necessary

• Knowledge in handling Landlord Tenant Disputes

• Experience in dealing with Unlawful Detainer matters is required

• Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Paralegal Studies or a related field is preferred.
