Robert Half PC Technician in Phoenix, Arizona

Description We are offering a position in Phoenix, Arizona, for a PC Technician in the IT Services industry. You will be part of a team that provides technical support, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems and peripherals, and maintains an inventory of computer hardware. This role offers a contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents, including operating systems and across a range of software applications.

• Assist all our users with any logged IT related incident when called upon.

• Take ownership of issues by carrying out problem analysis to implement temporary or permanent fixes with the aim of restoring service to the customer as soon as possible.

• Accurately record, update, and document requests using the IT service desk system.

• Install and configure new IT equipment.

• Maintain a first-class level of customer service ensuring that all customers are treated efficiently and in an appropriate manner.

• Maintain excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues at all levels in the organization.

• Establish a good working relationship with customers and other professionals.

• Ensure that a high level of customer service and support is provided to all internal and external customers.

• Support the roll-out of new applications through regular team and individual meetings.

• Prioritize and manage several open cases at one time. Requirements • Demonstrable knowledge and experience in computer hardware.

• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing various types of computer systems.

• Strong understanding of different operating systems including Windows, MacOS, and Linux.

• Capability to install and configure computer systems and networks.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical issues in a simple manner.

• Willingness to keep up-to-date with advancements in technology.

• Basic understanding of network security practices.

• Good customer service skills for dealing with clients face-to-face and over the phone.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
