University of Pennsylvania Pediatric Plastic-Craniofacial Surgeon in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of pediatric plastic surgery with a focus on cleft and craniofacial procedures. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. They must also be certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery or foreign equivalent or eligible for such certification.

Teaching responsibilities may include clinical and didactic education of medical students and plastic surgery residents.

Clinical responsibilities may include building a clinical practice in pediatric plastic/craniofacial surgery, with secondary duties related to adult patients.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include pursuing clinical studies related to craniofacial surgery and other topics in pediatric plastic surgery.

Candidates with a focus in international medicine and experience in microsurgery and cleft repair will be preferred. The successful applicant will become a member of the Division of Plastic Surgery at the nationally recognized Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. He/she will practice primarily at CHOP, but will also have duties at the University of Pennsylvania and its affiliates.
