University of Pennsylvania Chief, Cardiovascular Surgery PPMC in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

The Department of Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Associate or Full Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of cardiovascular surgery. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. They must also be certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery or foreign equivalent.

Teaching responsibilities may include clinical and didactic instruction of medical students, residents and fellows.

Clinical responsibilities may include outpatient and operative care of patients presenting with conditions related to cardiac disease.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include clinical and/or basic science research in topics related to cardiac surgery, as well as participation in clinical trials.

This position will be full-time and based at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center (PPMC), a full member institution of the University of Pennsylvania Health System. It will include the role Chief of Cardiovascular Surgery at PPMC, with commensurate administrative responsibilities.
