Summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking an experienced Warranty Manager (Hybrid) who will provide leadership to the Landing Systems Warranty team and coordination with the Value Stream teams for all warranty administration. The manager will oversee and direct the warranty administration area to ensure contractual compliance as well as the best experience for the customer that is submitting a warranty claim.

This team is to be directly responsible for managing the complete lifecycle of warranty processing from warranty claim receipt through to warranty disposition, along with campaign allocation and management, through to customer support of material. This role is also responsible for determination of liability and cost recovery from Suppliers.

This role serves in on a hybrid capacity at Oakville Facility.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage, train, and develop warranty analysts in both Troy and Oakville sites.

  • Establish the policies, procedures, and standard work, in accordance with company guidelines and contractual requirements for the processing of all warranty claims.

  • Ensure that the customer warranty claim process is efficient, accurate, and adjudicated timely.

  • Monitor warranty claim activity developing monthly metric reports.

  • Support monthly warranty reserve monitoring process, support Value Stream teams and development of monthly R&Os

  • Perform analytical analysis of warranty cost to support specific reserve whitepaper proposals and supplier cost recovery.

  • Support team as needed:

  • Evaluate and adjudicate warranty claims in conjunction with other team members comprising of Engineering, Technicians, Quality, Procurement, Customer Administration, and others.

  • Liaison with the customer and explain both verbally and in writing the results of the warranty investigation.

  • Assist in the negotiation with customers with regards to warranty disputes and cost approvals

  • Preparation and release of Warranty Orders and Credit Memos

  • Warranty fleet campaign support and tracking. Ensure designated proprietary campaigns are supported with the material issuance, repair support. Track and report monthly on campaign status.

  • Other duties to support the Aftermarket Team may be assigned on an as-needed basis.

  • Travel required 10% internationally and domestically.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.

  • 2+ years of experience utilizing policies, procedures, and regulations.

  • 2+ years of experience utilizing ERP/MRP software (for example SAP, NetSuite, Acumatica, Epicor etc.).

  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Office- Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.

  • Successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP and be eligible to work in Canada

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Aerospace and Aftermarket industry experience

  • Warranty claims and contract processing experience.

  • Experience with utilizing Finance Acumen applicable to the warranty process.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing teams and leading cross-functional projects in a dynamic environment.
