Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Attorney/Lawyer based in Oakland, California. In this role, you will represent clients in legal matters, prepare legal documents, and maintain a strong knowledge of substantive law, state and federal judicial systems. You will also communicate effectively with clients and other stakeholders, and be able to work under strenuous and stressful conditions.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Providing effective legal consultation, services, and advice to clients

• Representing clients in state and federal court and agency litigation/proceedings

• Preparing all necessary legal documents for effective representation of clients, including memoranda, legal briefs, opinion letters, and general correspondence

• Maintaining an excellent working knowledge of substantive law, state and federal judicial systems, including local court rules and procedures

• Communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing, with clients, decision-makers, consultants, and counsel

• Demonstrating the ability to work under strenuous and stressful conditions and effectively respond to client, office, and court needs on short notice

• Travelling occasionally, sometimes for extended periods of time

• Effectively researching and analyzing legal issues and formulating creative responses

• Utilizing various software tools such as 3M, Case Management Software, Legal software, LexisNexis, and Management System for efficient case handling and administration

• Handling civil litigation, claim administration, and complaint handling processes effectively, as well as preparing briefs and conducting depositions. Requirements • Must possess a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

• Admission to the state bar is mandatory

• Proficient in using legal software such as LexisNexis and Case Management Software

• Familiar with 3M Management System or similar systems

• Proven experience in civil litigation and claim administration

• Strong ability to handle complaints and resolve issues effectively

• Exceptional skills in drafting documentation and legal briefs

• Experience with depositions and briefing procedures

• Excellent communication skills for client interactions and court appearances

• Strong organizational skills for efficient case management

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

• High level of professional ethics and integrity

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
