The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

The research analyst is expected to increase their methodological expertise and substantive knowledge for lifecourse determinants of disparities in Alzheimer's diseases and other related dementias, and build skills for developing and implementing research studies. They will contribute to the development of analysis workflows and projects to answer targeted research questions about lifecourse determinants of aging and health. They will perform population health research activities, including designing and conducting studies, managing various datasets, performing data analyses, helping with manuscripts for submission to peer-reviewed journals, and providing other research and methodological support for existing and ongoing studies of the research team including generating manuscripts or academic presentations.

Responsibilities

Statistical Analysis on principal projects- 60%

Assistance with data analyses of the team - 20%

Data Management - 15%

Other related duties as assigned - 5%

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience

  • The successful candidate must possess a high level of initiative, clear communication skills, and attention to detail in addition to a demonstrated ability to be flexible to the team's evolving needs. Ideally, the candidate will have experience in health and epidemiology related research and a demonstrated interest in reproducibility and data management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A master's degree in epidemiology or biostatistics or a related field. Programming experience in STATA and R is preferred. Demonstrated analytical, organizational, and independent project management skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
