Job Summary and Qualifications

The HR/Labor Analyst will work with the CHRO, HR Leadership Team and PI Team to provide workforce insights and identify opportunities for improvement in key areas such as recruitment, retention and labor management. The HR/Labor Analyst will be responsible for generating and delivering accurate analyses, effective reporting, and developing executive overviews of summarized data sets to inform key business decisions and processes. This individual must possess excellent technical and analytical skills, experience in turning data opportunities into key action items, experience compiling and distributing reports, proven motivational capabilities, and a demonstrated track record of delivering results and attaining goals.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Actively participates in HR MORs and similar meetings to understand operational needs, provide proactive data analysis, and respond to various data analysis requests.

  • Analyzes historical trends and interprets them to support predicting future performance based on cause-and-effect relationships

  • Supports the requisition management process including but not limited to maintaining the appropriate mix of experienced and new graduate requisitions in all departments

  • Develops forecasting models including appropriate variance analyses using historical data and insightful prediction techniques to propose recommendations regarding hiring trends

  • Monitors productivity performance using recognized tools and software to identify areas requiring additional HR data analysis

  • Extracts appropriate data from supporting systems and prepares ad hoc analyses and reports that serve to inform management and improve operations

  • Designs reports that communicate performance, identify issues, and contribute to better management decisions including the identification and exploitation of best practices

  • Supports the long-term development of workforce planning strategies, tools and evaluation tactics including but not limited to budget target setting and the establishment of hiring and net gain targets

  • Collaborates with the HR Analytics team in the development of dashboards to support business needs.

  • Assists in providing monthly KPI’s for review and regular reporting and supports development of Labor MOR

  • Practices and adheres to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement.”

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Experience and/or skills in report development, reconciliation and analyzing data across multiple systems

  • Excellent technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel), SmartView/Essbase (cube reporting) and Business Objects (Ad-hoc reporting)

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.

  • Nashville based, occasional travel may be required

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Master's degree or relative work experience may substitute for any other degrees preferred

  • 1+ year's of experience in analytics field, reporting and/or development required

  • Must have advanced analytical skills required

  • Must be proficient in written and verbal skills
