*SUMMARY:*

Hennepin Healthcare is hiring a Staff Nurse RN (1.0 FTE: 5 days/week, 8 hour shifts) for our East Lake Clinic in south Minneapolis to work day shift.

**This position is currently Monday-Friday day hours but may expand to include evenings and weekends as we grow.

A sign-on bonus is available for eligible external candidates (current employees and former employees returning to HHS within one year are ineligible).

*RESPONSIBILITIES* Within the context of the Hennepin Healthcare System Relationship-Based Care practice model, and under general supervision, the registered nurse provides and coordinates nursing care by:

• Protecting, promoting wellness and optimizing health
• Triaging patients by assessing severity of symptoms and referral to appropriate setting or level of care
• Alleviating suffering through the treatment of the human response
• Partnering with the patient, their family and significant others
• Documenting interventions and an individualized plan of care
• Educating patient on their disease process
• Assuring continuity of care

• Educating patient and family in preventative care which promotes health and well being

  _QUALIFICATIONS:_ Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Minnesota

Preferred Qualifications: * Bilingual in English and Spanish * Certification in area of clinical specialty * BSN Preferred. Bachelor of Nursing degree is strongly encouraged. Advancement in academic education will be discussed as part of individual professional development during the annual performance review. /If you are not currently in an Ambulatory department, you would be subject to the Ambulatory pay scale./
