Boehringer Ingelheim Regional Medical Manager in Istanbul, Turkey

THE POSITION

Boehringer Ingelheim is hiring a Regional Medical Manager (RMM), based in Istanbul, Turkey, reporting to the Medical Manager.

The RMM is responsible for the implementation of medical goals and tactics in the territory within scope. The job holder provides medical knowledge and scientific information to healthcare professionals and experts. Through this collaboration, the RMM generates insights and understanding of the healthcare landscape, health systems, patient journey and care pathways which further support scientific objectives and strategic decision making. The RMM will be responsible for building scientific relationships with key opinion leaders in the field of specialty and rare diseases.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Planning and execution of Stakeholder/external experts development and engagement plans

  • Build and maintain medical/scientific expertise for the respective product and therapeutic area.

  • Management and dissemination of scientific knowledge for external and internal stakeholders.

  • Share and generate insights from external experts with cross-functional teams to better inform Company’s strategic direction for research and commercialization.

  • Facilitate advisory boards and conduct round-table discussions and peer-to-peer communication.

  • Provide medical training and updates for the assigned therapy area to the internal field force and brand team, as required

  • Knowledge and adherence to company SOPs and local laws and regulations including pharmaceutical industry code of conduct.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Medicine/MD/ or equivalence

  • 2 years of experience in a Multinational Pharmaceutical company is an asset with 1 year in the Medical function

  • Experience in Specialty and Rare Diseases is preferred

  • Possesses a deep understanding and knowledge of scientific and clinical information

  • Has knowledge of local healthcare systems and clinical practices related to patient care is preferred.

  • Strong English language capabilities

  • The primary location is Istanbul with flexibility to work up to 50 % of the time in Izmir
