Job Overview

This is a fast-paced, detail-oriented position that favors teamwork and customer service skills. In this position you will work with each member of the Logistics Team to ensure all aspects of logistics are covered. You will be expected to handle tasks independently, but always have the ability to follow up with teammates. You will also have the opportunity to work with our Panel Shipping Supervisor to learn the aspects of the panel shipments and be able to cover the position for them as needed. There are very specific tasks to follow and detailed notes to take to ensure the team understands all requirements. You will be working with our carriers, crane companies, on site customers, and internal colleagues so customer service skills are a must.

A Day In The Life

• Coordinate EE logistics, shipping, and site work activities

• Create shipping and travel paperwork

• Enter field crew time sheets & process EE trip reports

• Update control panels (spreadsheets, schedules, charts)

• Complete delivery conference call preparation & follow-ups

• Maintain department records (scanning/ copying/ e-mails)

• Backup for panel shipping supervisor and daily UPS shipments

What will help you thrive in this role?

• High School Diploma, Associates Degree preferred

• Minimum of three years of experience in logistics, transportation or supply chain, preferably in a customer-focused environment

• Proven ability to speak effectively before groups and over the phone

• Strong background in computer programs including MS Excel, Word, and Outlook

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and planning skills

• Possession of strong documentation skills and excellent written and oral communication

• Skilled at coordinating multiple projects and contractors at one time

• Ability to perform assigned duties under time pressures in an interruptive environment

• Works well with a range of people including suppliers, carriers and customers (internal and external)

• Excellent time management skills

• High attention to detail
