About the Role

The Shelling Plant Production Supervisor maximizes production up-time while maintaining product quality and staff safety. They act as the first line of troubleshooting equipment and processes within the plant. They are responsible for following safety policies and overseeing the production process while keeping employees safe in a controlled setting.The Shelling Plant Production Supervisor oversees the staff, the equipment, and the operations of the facility while helping everything remain organized for improved efficiency.   • Coordinate equipment maintenance and repair services with the Plant Superintendent to keep production equipment operational, minimizing downtime.
  • Enforce workflow policies put into place by the Plant Superintendent that enhance speed and efficiency without compromising safety and product integrity.
  • Evaluate quality control processes; make recommendations to the Plant Superintendent for improvements.
  • Keep up to date on all industry standards for health and safety guidelines.

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven work experience in a manufacturing plant.
  • Prior work experience in the peanut industry preferred.
  • Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise.
  • Knowledge of safety, quality, productivity, and inventory processes.
  • Physical strength, stamina, and the abilityto stand for long periodsof time.
  • Ability to use computers, software, and other technology for inventory and communication purposes.
