AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS. Within AWS UC, Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) roles engage with AWS customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

We are looking for an energetic person, who thrives in a fast-paced, and often ambiguous environment. You will perform large-scale processes and deliver results. You should have the ability to work under pressure, overcome obstacles, and preform in a dynamic environment.

The Procurement function manages the flow of products to our sites by monitoring and mitigating supply risk. You will work with various functional partners to make sure that items are ordered and delivered to our warehouses on time. You must have high attention to detail and have the ability to flag whenever something looks wrong.

This role includes the following:

• Create purchase requisitions according to ongoing & forecasted needs

• Track and communicate delivery schedules with internal partners

• Monitor and mitigate overall risk for new launches

• Continuously work with the teams to improve current processes

• Collaborate with suppliers, to ensure timely deliveries and quality compliance

• Proactively communicate risks and issues to key stakeholders and recommend mitigations

• Document and maintain records of procurement, order fulfillment, and transportation when applicable

• Day-to-day order management, including transactional issue resolution and critical information gathering regarding schedules, invoices, tracking info, etc.

Key job responsibilities

Procurement:

o Leading development procurement activities for the whole SW group

o Working with various sources internally and externally

o Collect and recommend material planning by ongoing scheduled meetings with all internal customers - including SW team leaders

o Budget planning for all SW teams, budget monitoring with the Finance team

o Procurement documentations - Keeping up to date internal data base & documents, updating the ticketing system

Logistics:

o Managing inventory for 2 warehouses which are located in Haifa & Tel Aviv

o Working with the internal shipping team on a daily basis

o Coordinating equipment arrivals with the facility teams in Haifa & Tel Aviv

o Supporting equipment requests from development teams & other interfaces

o RMA process with Amazon vendors

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in inventory planning and management, supply chain & procurement

  • BA degree in Finance, Business, Supply Chain/Operations or related field

  • Good understanding of Inventory Management principles and systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with advanced Excel features (such as V-lookups & pivot tables)

  • Experience with Inventory / Supply Chain Management concepts, e.g., forecasting, planning, optimization, analysis

  • Excellent written composition and verbal communication skills

  • A strong sense of ownership over work and results
