Eaton Corporation Jr. CI Engineer in El Paso, Texas

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Jr. CI Engineer in El Paso, TX.

This Continuous Improvement Jr. Engineer role is a unique opportunity to be part of a team that is being formed from the ground up. This position is responsible for supporting the implementation of Lean concepts to improve productivity, cost out, and reduce the costs of nonconformance.

The hourly rate for this position is $25.00 per hour. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you’ll do:

  • Support Continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the overall effectiveness of manufacturing operations and achieve operational excellence.

  • Facilitate projects or events such as Rapid Improvement Events, VSM, Standardization 5S, and Basic Problem Solving.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional resources to execute projects as required –Operational Excellence, Production, Quality, other

  • Support the implementation of Eaton’s CI Leadership Management System (Continuous Improvement Framework).

  • Assist in training and development of personnel with regards to CI tools

  • Contribute to plant cost out objectives, particularly through labor productivity improvements.

  • Document Kaizen events

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution required.

  • Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)

  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of El Paso, TX will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field strongly preferred

  • Trained and certified in Lean/Six Sigma

  • Knowledge in CAD modeling

  • Prior manufacturing experience

Skills:

  • Proficient with computer and software tools – including advanced Excel capabilities (pivots, macros, etc.)

  • Ability to coordinate Kaizen events and to document results

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as fabrication, assembly & test, as well as materials management and quality processes

  • Good problem-solving capability

  • Analytical and critical thinking – necessary for identification of issues and potential troubleshooting
