The primary responsibility of Senior Project Manager (PM) is to manage/ oversee Technical Project Managers and Coordinators to run a PMO for Cloud/DC/NW/Security enabling services. He/ she needs to manage multiple, simultaneous tracks to deploy multiple service solutions for our clients within scope, time and budget. He/ she also needs to understand the technical design and coordinate the execution of the various implementation activities, performed by engineers and external parties (vendors, affiliates and third-party suppliers). On top of keeping control of all project-related resources, Senior PM also maintains a structured plan for the execution and report and escalate during the deployment phase. He/ she needs to obtain right customer requirements and define the project formation properly to realize the solution provisioning.

As part of NTT, our customers are Japanese-oriented companies. From the project initiation phase until the project closure, the customer counterparts are mostly Japanese speakers. Accordingly, the Project Manager needs to be able to write proposals, make explanation, actively engage with a broad spectrum of customers (via meetings or one-to-one conversations), by using both Japanese & English languages.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Create project charter/proposal /WBS to manage the project properly (Scope, Schedule, Deliverables, and Acceptance criteria).

  • Ensure change management process is followed to handle the requirement(s) from customer.

  • Define and agree the financial parameters (costing, profit margin, payment terms, resource plan, bill of materials, and other related) before the project execution.

  • Design measures to improve the quality of deliverables in case the issue happened.

  • Report the project status and issue/risks to manager or stakeholder timely and manage them effectively.

  • Create project charter/proposal /WBS to manage the project properly (Scope, Schedule, Deliverables, and Acceptance criteria). Project is typically focused on the delivery of new/ enhanced products to improvement of customer satisfaction using the latest technologies.

  • Ensure change management process is followed to handle the requirement(s) from customer.

  • Define and agree the financial parameters (costing, profit margin, payment terms, resource plan, bill of materials, and other related) before the project execution.

  • Coordinates all aspects of a product or service offering project for clients, from inception to installation. Installation involves acceptance of capitalized equipment/ enterprise software systems/ system integration or consulting projects/engagements.

  • May work at client sites from time-to-time.

  • Typically involves extensive interaction with sales, systems engineering, product development, and other members of cross functional teams.

Academic Qualifications and Certifications required:

  • Relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent

  • Language requirement: fluency in both English & Japanese (minimum JLPT N2 for Japanese-speakers)

  • 5 - 10 years of working experience with hands-on project management experience (e.g. Network migration, Cloud migration, Office/Factory ICT setup)

  • Project management related certifications e.g PMP

  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to present information clearly and succinctly

  • Knowledge and understanding of IT industry environment and business needs

  • The ability to recognise opportunities for enhancement and continuous improvement

  • Displays persuasive and confident presentation, writing and report/proposal ability

  • High level of technical ability with respect to market, verticals, horizontals, business administration and business change

  • Ability to establish and manage processes and practices through collaboration and the

  • understanding of business

  • Ability to manage urgent and complex tasks simultaneously
