CVS Health Lead Director, Workday HCM in Cumberland, Rhode Island

CVS Health is looking for a Lead Director, Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) to join our Human Resources Technology team. As the Lead Director of Workday HCM, you are in a pivotal role that will require holistic oversight and management of Workday’s HCM technical module. You will provide strategic recommendations for system enhancements to senior leaders within IT and HR to enhance our Workday system landscape.

The Lead Director of Workday Human Capital Management position is responsible for leading the analysis and planning of Workday HCM technical priorities and roadmap, including managing and driving the established list of global priorities for the HCM functional area. Furthermore, you will provide strategic guidance and subject matter expertise on functional area capabilities and limitations and c hallenge partners to think differently on HCM operational issues and act as a thought partner and model creative problem-solving to impact business decisions.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Leverage insights, feedback and industry best practice to proactively influence and define the HCM strategy within Workday

  • Partner with HR Shared Services Leadership, HR Technology and HR Leaders to develop and execute both long- and short-term strategic plans for Workday Recruiting

  • Understand impact that technical changes within HCM has on other areas and modules, such as Talent Acquisition and Payroll

  • Thoroughly understands the needs of the business and become trust partners with COE leadership, evaluating Workday HCM and determining the long term strategy for the HCM module

  • Lead management of key deliverables and timelines for Workday HCM, developing plans to achieve targets and enhancements and proactively communicating progress to a variety of stakeholders

  • Understanding leading industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to improve the Workday HCM landscape

  • Liaise with HR Tech leadership to provide expert guidance and recommendations. Ensure timely delivery and fixes, adhering to department service level agreements with business users

  • Partner with HR Tech leadership on escalations and cross-functional impact, serving as primary point of contact on follow up and resolution

  • Actively participate in Workday's semi-annual release process for the HCM area, engaging with the governance and release team on cross-functional initiatives and informing Business Leads of critical impacts and upcoming enhancement opportunities

  • Establishing and monitoring KPIs to measure the effectiveness of Workday HCM

  • Drive adoption of data-driven decision-making processes powered by Workday enhancements within the organization

  • Create and delivering status reports and presentations to communicate key insights and recommendations to the HR Technology Leadership Team and HR leaders

  • Develops project plans designed to address customer needs and available team resources

    In order to be successful in this role you must exhibit the following:

  • A solid understanding of, and experience with, the Workday, or Oracle HCM suite of products and services

  • An understanding of the HR technology landscape, including cloud computing and mobile technologies

  • The ability to develop and sustain relationships with business partners and stakeholders

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • A strong work ethic, be a self-starter, and be able to be highly productive in a dynamic, collaborative environment

  • Prior leadership experience

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years HCM or HRIS experience or equivalent in another similar field

  • 5+ years of experience in a HR Technology or HCM Director Lead role, or related capacity

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a global or large complex HR Tech environment

  • Project Management experience

  • Experience with change management and communications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or, equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$144,200.00 - $288,400.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
