CTL Aerospace, Inc. QC/CMM Inspector (3rd Shift) in Cincinnati, Ohio

CTL Aerospace is a full service NADCAP certified composite-manufacturing company providing services to the major aerospace and governmental organizations since 1946. CTL specializes in the manufacturing of Fiber Reinforced Polymer Structures.

We are seeking a talented Dimensional/CMM Inspector to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment at our northern Cincinnati, Ohio location (less than 30 minutes from Dayton and/or northern Kentucky).

The successful candidate will have the following experiences and abilities:

  • Experience in dimensional inspection
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints utilizing geometric tolerances
  • Must be able to use all types of measuring tools (Gauges, Calipers, & Micrometers)
  • Will develop CMM programs using OpenDMIS software for inspectors to use.
  • Develops programs to use on CMM for dimensional inspection of manufactured aerospace product
  • Use CMM and other Monitoring and Measuring Equipment (M&ME) to inspect product for dimensional conformance according to production schedule. Reads and interprets Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) data.
  • Complies with internal quality system, business policies, and regulatory requirements and supports business goals and objectives
  • Reads and understands blueprints, travelers/routers and work instructions including GD&T data on machine prints
  • Troubleshoot CMM programs and prove-out CMM programs using OpenDMIS software
  • Perform CMM inspections on components and final assemblies and analyze features to GD&T requirements
  • Generate inspection reports and FAI reports
  • Work with minimal supervision to support manufacturing needs
  • Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS To be considered for this position, you must meet the following minimal requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Associates degree or higher degree in engineering or related technical field a plus.
  • Five years progressive experience related to precision manufacturing and inspection
  • Aerospace or Medical QC inspection required.
  • Ability to interact with people on the floor, good social skills, and able to work with diverse work groups
  • Ability to use computer programs to create inspection reports
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and writing skills
  • Must be a US Citizen and excellent communication skills
  • Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
