Description

Robert Half's client is a rapidly growing government contractor dedicated to delivering high-quality services and solutions to their clients. They are seeking a Controller to lead the finance department, ensuring robust financial management as they expand. This position is located south of Baltimore and can be mostly remote with occasional trips to the office.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.

• Manage and mentor a team, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in daily operations.

• Develop and maintain internal controls for compliance and asset protection.

• Prepare financial statements and analyze data for strategic decision-making.

• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes.

• Coordinate audits and ensure compliance with regulations.

  Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.

• 7+ years of accounting/finance experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role.

• Strong understanding of government contracting principles, including indirect rates.

• Proficiency in Costpoint or similar ERP systems.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
