Join our Digital Industry as Bidding Engineer and help us re-imagine the world by finding solutions and making the world a more inquisitive place for tomorrow. The Digital Industries Bidding Engineer is responsible for the preparation of technically valid and financially cost-effective proposals including all basic design and selection requirements to form a successful bid for Siemens Digital Industries Portfolio serving the industrial applications in various market verticals, including Infrastructure, Water & Wastewater, Food & Beverage, Cranes, Glass, Steel, Cement, Petrochemicals, Oil & Gas, Pharmaceutical etc.

You‘ll make an impact by:

  • Preparing winning techno-commercial offers and technical submittals for Digital Industries tenders in cooperation with the Bid Project Manager.

  • Creating competitive offers including cost calculation, ensuring the coordination with the pre-sales & sales organizations as well as all support functions, to develop a cost-optimized solution in accordance with customer requirements and meeting Siemens' organizational strategy and interests.

  • Coordinating work with operations & projects team, pre-sales team, engineering team, customer services team, procurement team, financing team and with external suppliers for the preparation of offers.

  • Implementing basic engineering and architectural design of automation systems.

  • Actively supporting sales team with tasks within the sales process, especially with offer and risk reviews, strategic considerations of the scope of delivery and determination of appropriate contractual conditions.

  • Providing the proper technical support for the sales organization in meetings, presentations, and negotiations with customers.

  • Preparing cost calculations, Risk Analysis, and cash flow plans for the projects under the bidding process.

  • Your success is grounded in

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electro-mechanical or mechatronics engineering is a must.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in automation systems design, selection, configuration, commissioning, and troubleshooting preferably with experience in Siemens’ automations systems.

  • Able to understand PI Diagrams, network topologies and industrial communication protocols.

  • Previous experience in techno-commercial bid preparations.

  • Willingness to travel and work away when required.

  • Time Management capabilities.

Desirable Hands-On Skills:

  • PLC, SCADA, DCS, and Variable Frequency Drives.

  • Field Instrumentation.

  • Motor Control Center basic knowledge will be plus.

  • Excel, Word, Power Point, MS-Project, VISIO, and AutoCAD.
