We are inviting applications for the role of an Accounting Clerk in the public transport industry. The position is based in Burnsville, Minnesota, United States and offers a short-term contract employment opportunity. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in managing the company's financial records, including processing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, and handling billing and data entry.

Responsibilities:

• Handle day-to-day account reconciliation tasks to ensure accurate financial records

• Manage accounts payable and receivable to maintain seamless financial operations

• Oversee billing processes, ensuring all invoices are issued and paid on time

• Perform data entry tasks, updating financial records with recent transactions and changes

• Use software tools like Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to process, store, and retrieve financial data

• Ensure the accuracy of accounting entries and promptly correct any discrepancies

• Assist in the processing of customer credit applications and maintain accurate customer credit records

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments

• Understand and navigate the accounting cycle to provide accurate financial information

• Resolve customer credit inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements • Proficiency in account reconciliation and management of accounts payable and accounts receivable

• Experience in billing and invoice processing

• Proficient in data entry tasks and maintaining accurate records

• Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel

• Familiarity with Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP software

• Understanding of the accounting cycle and accounting entries

• Ability to multitask and prioritize work according to deadlines

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

• Previous experience in a similar role in the public transport industry is advantageous.
