Advertising/Posting Title NW Crops and Soils Program Specialist

Posting Summary

Provide financial, program, and administrative support to the Northwest Crops and Soils team. Work as a liaison with the Sponsored Projects Administration and grant Principal Investigators to manage project expenses. Serve as the financial manager for the 40 +/- grants, gift accounts and income and expense accounts. Provide general administrative support for the team.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Bachelor’s degree in a related field and two to four years’ related experience required.

Desirable Qualifications

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, including extensive knowledge of Word, Excel and Access/database structure highly desirable. Familiarity with education and research. Interest in agriculture and agronomy.

Anticipated Pay Range $22 to $27 per hour.

Other Information

Position located in Extension St. Albans Office, and expected to have a regular presence in the office.

Actual hiring pay dependent on comparable campus peer(s) at time of hire, and candidate’s previous experience level and length.

Special Conditions Position located in different city, Bargaining unit position, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, Contingent on continued funding, This position is ineligible for telework due to the essential functions, Background Check required for this position
