Overview

The Vermont Veterans Home is currently recruiting LNAs to join a compassionate team dedicated to providing best in class care to our Countrys Veterans, their spouses, and Gold Star Parents. We are dedicated to providing a professional and fun environment where staff may thrive and grow all while giving back to our Nations Heroes. Our staff provide person-centered, trauma informed care to residents with a wide range of physical and psychiatric disorders.

This position involves patient care and treatment work at the aide level in a long-term care setting, working an assigned shift. Work assignments are performed under the direction of a Licensed Practical Nurse and/or Registered Nurse. In-service training courses are required and staff are encouraged to pursue continuing education.

We currently have one (1) part-time position on the day shift, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm and one (1) part-time position available on the night shift, 10:00 pm to 6:30 am. These positions require working twenty-four (24) hours per week, including weekends and holidays.

Starting pay is \$20.40 per hour and may be negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Shift differentials, as applicable, will apply to hours worked on weekends and nights. The positions are eligible for benefits. They are limited-service positions that expire on 12/09/2024.

Environmental Factors

Duties are performed in a long-term care and residential care setting. Incumbents may be assigned to any area of the facility and to any shift. Requires standing for long periods of time, walking for extended periods and distances, sitting, repetitive movements, bending, twisting, stretching, lifting, pushing, and pulling. Duties require regular and direct interaction with residents with varying degrees of physical and mental illness, dementia, infectious diseases, severe physical and mental limitations, and residents who may display unpredictable behavior. Incumbents predictably encounter high levels of stress and emotional situations, exposure to potentially physically and verbally violent patient populations and exposure to infectious disease.
