As a core part of Teams, the Real-Time Media Experience team is responsible for building intelligent and high-quality calling and meeting experiences. Responsibilities

  • Design and implementation of audio services for use in real-time communications.

  • Build reliable cross-platform code for audio device handling and streaming.

  • Experiment and innovation on new technologies to continually improve reliability of audio flow.

  • Work across the product lifecycle from prototyping proof-of-concepts to shipping production-grade code optimized for CPU and memory.

  • Contribute towards building our intellectual property portfolio.

  • Collaborate with other engineering and research teams across the company.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • Experience with developing audio processing or real-time communication applications.

  • Experience with multi-process environment and communication.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Audio pre and post processing algorithms.

  • Experience with audio DSP fundamentals, experience withprogrammable DSPs used for system-on-chip solutions.

  • Solid debugging skills and strong analytical, logical, and reasoning skills.

  • Solid communication skills and ability to work with a cross-functional and geographically diverse team.
