Position Summary

In the role of Senior Development Engineer/ Full Stack Developer, you will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Design and Development. You will play an important role in interfacing with customer for the successful delivery of the project. You will also help the team deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty. You will be part of a learning culture, where teamwork and collaboration are encouraged, excellence is rewarded, and diversity is respected and valued.The Senior Development Engineer is responsible for the techno-functional impact analysis, design & code construction activities associated with development of software releases for the First Health business systems. Strong technical, functional, and interpersonal skills are key to perform this role successfully. The current suite of systems includes multiple applications including, but not limited, to the Tier 1 systems for the First Health business. The Sr Development Engineer will partner and collaborate with the development manager, product mgmt./owners, architects, quality assurance/testing, developers, and project managers to deliver Business change and innovation into our Java based business applications software. The Sr Development Engineer will be involved throughout the entire development life cycle of a product and must be able to deliver an efficient solution, as well as identify and properly mitigate any risks to the product before deployment to production. The individual will play an important role in interfacing with customer and work with the lead for the successful delivery of the project. Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional IT experience• 8+ years software development and requirement analysis, design experience

• 8+ years of experience in Database development (Oracle)

• 8+ years of experience with AIX-UNIX, C, Oracle Pro *C, PERL, Shell scripting.

• 8+ years of strong experience in Oracle , SQL & PL/SQL programming, query performance tuning• 5+ years of development experience for projects delivered via Agile, Waterfall and/or SAFe methodologies• 5+ Years of advanced experience in Developing, Testing and Troubleshooting UNIX-C batch applications• 5+ Years of experience in Oracle internals, debugging & performance tuning of complex Oracle packages.• 5+ Years of experience in developing Oracle custom data masking scripts to improve security and compliance.• 5+ Years of experience in Oracle Partition Tables and ETL scripting to archive data from Operational system to Warehouse.

• 5+ years of experience developing custom data masking rules and archiving

• Working experience of API design patterns (SOAP, REST, JSON) is required.

• 3+ years of experience writing unit test cases.

• 2+ years of experience of CI/CD pipeline, GIT, or Jenkins.

• A track record of writing clean, high quality, high performing, scalable code.

• 2+ years of experience with build/dependency management tools such as Maven, ANT, GIT hub (Subversion, GIT)

• Proven experience as technical SME (with domain knowledge) in understanding business requirements and translating into software solutions

• 2+ years of healthcare industry experience is required

• 1+ years of experience with Visual Studio, VB.NET, .NET development is required.

• 1+ year of hands-on working experience with financial/Accounts receivable application is required.

• Experience in VB.NET/Java application a plus.

• Experience with background on web and application servers such as Websphere, Weblogic• Good knowledge on Azure cloud.• Knowledgeable about web security basics.

• Microsoft certifications are a plus.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related Technical field or comparable work experience required• Master’s in Computer Science related program preferred

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$118,450.00 - $236,900.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
