Summary
The University Center for Language and Literacy (UCLL) is currently accepting applications for a full-time, 12-month Clinical Fellow in Speech-Language Pathology to work primarily in the nationally recognized University of Michigan Aphasia Program (UMAP) as well as with children in Language and Literacy Services. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Diagnostic and therapeutic intervention for adults with aphasia and apraxia and children with language and literacy disorders.
Comprehensive documentation, including treatment plans, reports, daily notes.
Collaboration with a team of Speech-Language Pathologists.
Education of carepartners and consultation with other professionals.

Who We Are
At UCLL, we offer programs for aphasia recovery and children's language and literacy development, as well as a workshop for enhancing English pronunciation skills. The UMAP is one of a few clinical service programs around the country to offer an intensive speech-language therapy approach that combines individual, group, and tech-based learning, exemplifying the Life Participation Approach to Aphasia.
Required Qualifications*
Position requirements include a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology with a strong interest in working with adults diagnosed with neurological-based communication disorders and with children who have language and literacy disorders. Ideal candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as organizational and time management skills. Candidates should also possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Desired Qualifications*
Experience with facilitating aphasia group therapy and teletherapy with adults.
