SUNY Upstate Medical University Assistant to the Associate Dean for UME in Syracuse, New York

Job Summary:

The Norton College of Medicine endeavors to prepare students for delivering the highest quality patient care to our communities. The Office of Undergraduate Medical Education administers the undergraduate medical education program, coordinates the content and sequence of courses, and promotes innovative learning, teaching, and evaluation of techniques. Our curriculum integrates foundational and clinical sciences while addressing the humanistic aspects of medicine- including the ethical, legal, and social implications.

The Assistant to the Associate Dean serves as a resource for the Office for Undergraduate Medical Education, providing administrative support for the Associate Dean and the UME leadership team. The Assistant is responsible for coordinating various administrative duties to include coordinating office management, maintaining calendars, meeting scheduling, support, and minutes, planning and coordinating events, coordinating travel and reimbursement, coordinate updates to documents and systems, such as policies and procedures, and special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree and 2 years of relevant administrative experience required. Proficient in MS Outlook, Sharepoint/Onedrive, Excel, Adobe Pro & Teams required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Administrative experience in an academic environment preferred.
