The Sales & Marketing organization drives growth for the Market Intelligence division and S&P Global through strong customer partnerships and innovative marketing to expand our footprint in the market.

The Proposal/Response Management Team is part of the broader Sales Strategy & Operations. An enabling function to qualify, review, and respond to RFXs, proposals (Standard/Custom), questionnaires, and other customer queries. Our goal is to enable new revenue generation via RFX & deliver superior customer satisfaction by providing high-quality proposals & relevant information during pre/post-sales. We serve a vast array of clients across geographies and are committed to the client-first mindset.

The Proposal/Due Diligence Specialist will focus on the proposal (RFP/I/T/Q), risk assessment, and vendor due-diligence questionnaires. The candidate will be responsible for managing customer requests across numerous products and business lines. Additionally, work closely with product and technical leads towards building consistent and accurate responses. Focus on developing an understanding of our product solutions and platforms from a business and technical perspective.

Position summary

  • Responsible for responding to Proposals (RFP/I/T/Q), due diligence questionnaires, and risk assessments.

  • Coordinating with internal stakeholders such as sales, product, legal, and information security to respond to customer requests and create accurate, persuasive, and cogent response documents.

  • This individual will work closely with business and technical leads towards building consistent and accurate responses and must understand the product solution and platform from a business and technical perspective.

  • Maintains awareness of internal controls and trends to assure the process remains effective.

  • Ensure that responses are accurate, comply with high company standards, and are completed by the assigned deadlines.

  • Tracking to completion of action items raised during risk assessments and audits.

  • Assist with overall communication and approvals for responses that represent our entire organization.

  • Assist with our centralized database processes, policies, and procedures to drive improvement in tools and content.

Business competencies

Education and experience

  • 5 - 7 years of relevant experience in Proposals (RFP/I/T/Q) and Vendor Due-diligence.

  • Understanding of global financial markets and financial products.

  • Knowledge of sales/bid lifecycle, security controls, and risk management procedures for SaaS-based products.

  • Experience in information gathering from subject matter experts to support the proposal writing process.

  • Knowledge of vendor management processes and compliance considerations would be an advantage.

  • High proficiency in the MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project), Adobe Acrobat, and SharePoint.

  • Knowledge Management experience would be plus.

  • Ability to work on multiple concurrent projects.

  • Ability to adapt to the requirement of stakeholders and work under tight deadlines.

  • Creative and used to using initiative in all tasks and projects.

  • Ability to develop excellent working relationships with internal colleagues is essential to the role.
