Robert Half Human Resources Business Partner in Columbus, Ohio

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an HR Business Partner to join our client's team in Columbus, Ohio. In this role, you will serve as a crucial resource to managers, supervisors, and staff members on all employment-related matters, ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations. You will also be responsible for recruiting personnel, planning, organizing, and executing human resources programs and procedures that support our company's objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Act as a trusted advisor to assigned business units and department leaders on all matters related to talent and performance management

• Understand the assigned business units and departments, including key business functions, strategic initiatives, and processes

• Manage the entire recruiting process for assigned departments, including job posting, interviewing, reference and background checks, and new hire orientation

• Plan and manage the execution of creative sourcing activities such as career fairs and student recruitment

• Develop relationships with local organizations to obtain a qualified and diverse candidate pool

• Counsel employees with regard to any aspect of their employment and assist with the mediation of employee concerns

• Conduct and document formal investigations of employee complaints and recommend appropriate resolutions

• Conduct exit interviews in a timely manner, analyze, and summarize data periodically for leadership review

• Assist with the preparation and accuracy of position descriptions and job grades, and review job descriptions routinely to ensure they remain up-to-date

• Respond to unemployment claims and other outside inquiries as needed

• Facilitate the interactive process for accommodation requests under the ADA.

Requirements • Proven expertise in Human Resources (HR) Administration.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Demonstrated ability in creating and implementing procedures.

• Proficient in payroll management.

• Experience in planning and executing HR related processes.

• Ability to effectively review and revise HR policies and documents.

• Prior experience in supervising HR teams.

• Ability to deliver effective presentations to various stakeholders.

• Experience in providing workstation support to employees.

• Knowledge of medical coverage policies and procedures.

• Strong leadership skills with a track record of leading special projects.

• Experience in managing relationships with vendors.

• Proficient in handling HR related paperwork.

• Understanding of HR related regulations and ensuring compliance.

• Expertise in staffing and interviewing.

• Excellent time management skills.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of HR information.

• Experience with backup technologies.

• Proficiency in documentation and training.

• Must be able to execute tasks efficiently.
