Job Description:

This is a key role responsible for setting up strategies in South Korea which will positively contribute to the overall Asia Pacific regional objectives by supporting business development activities including, but not limited to, management of existing Network-to-Network Alliance and Diners Club Franchise partners as well as actively seeking and signing new opportunities for growth in South Korea.

Responsible for managing business development in one or more countries, regions, or industries. Serves as the relationship manager for multiple complex partner relationships. Performs market analyses and business-development activities to drive profitable sales volume, card-in-force, revenue, and acceptance. Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.

The role is based in Singapore, and travel to South Korea and within the region is expected on a regular basis. The position will also be responsible for supporting the Asia Pacific region as required.

Responsibilities

  • Manages new and existing partnerships to develop opportunities for growth and profitability.

  • Partners internally and externally to identify, develop, and implement new business opportunities.

  • Drives transaction volume and experience of existing partners in order to drive profitable growth.

  • Support new business development activities in South Korea. Partner internally and externally to identify, develop, and implement new business opportunities to drive growth.

  • Manage the overall business relationship with existing Network-to-Network Alliance and Diners Club Franchise partnerships:

Minimum Qualifications

At a minimum, here’s what we need from you:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or Marketing

  • 8+ years of experience in Payments, Relationship Management, or Marketing

  • In lieu of a degree, 10+ years of experience in Payments, Relationship Management, or Marketing

  • Proven business development and relationship management experience from an international card scheme, fin-tech company, or payment services company

  • Proven experience in developing business and managing relationships in South Korea

  • Fluent in Korean and English (speaking, reading, and writing)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Business, Finance, or Marketing

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills with ability to use data, logic, and reasoning to identify and make sound business decisions

  • Excellent people and strong written and oral communication skills

  • Solid understanding of financial modeling, client engagement, and ability to negotiate business agreements to enhance existing and to develop new business relationships

  • An excellent collaborator, team player, and willingness to support team goals and objectives

  • Entrepreneurial self-starter with ability to think creatively and strategically of ways to add value to clients
